As professional San Diego jewelry buyers, Gold & Diamond Buyers of San Diego is pleased to announce we are fast approaching our 5th year anniversary in Chula Vista, CA.

Since we have been in Downtown Chula Vista, we have seen some major changes to the city and specifically to our block, located on Third Ave., between Davidson & F Streets.

In the past year 6 bars have opened up on the block. These include Bar Sin Nombre, located next door to us, 3 Punk Ales, located next to us as well, as well as Groundswell Brewing Co., located across the street from us. There is also Penguin Bar on the same side of the street towards the end, as well as Chula Vista Brewery across the street, close to F street. Grind House Cafe, formerly “The Nest” cafe is also now licensed to sell beer and wine, upping the total number of beer establishments to six on our block. Balboa Brewery is also under construction, bringing that number to a lucky 7, if you believe in luck!

The Grind House Cafe and Ground House Brewery have kitchens that are now operational or will be shortly. Balboa Brewery is expected to also offer Burgers and have a kitchen as well. All these establishments have been making Downtown Chula Vista a place to see for all.

There has been much additional traffic on the block in the 5 years that we have been here. There are Classic Car Shows on Third Ave. now, twice per month, bringing in a lot of additional traffic.

Downtown Chula Vista is where the town started many years ago. Thereafter, Chula Vista Mall was opened, taking a lot of business away from stores and vendors on Third Ave.

Now with the town issuing licensing for beer and wine and liquor, as well as town activities such as the Lemon Festival, the traffic is not only back, but increasing daily.

The events on 2018 have helped increase traffic to all businesses in the area, such as watching Kim Kardashian 2018 and Taylor Swift on Bar and Cafe big screens on Third Avenue in Chula Vista.

The back parking lot behind our location is set to be a 30 unit apartment development in the coming months, and the town is just hopping more and more every day.
